The journal explores the subject of stress and health from many perspectives, including consideration of ways to address problems in these areas.
Stress is a component of life and a number of mechanisms exist to cope with its effects on the health and well-being of individuals and society. The stresses that challenge human existence in our modern society may result in failure of these coping mechanisms, with resultant stress-induced illness. The aim of the journal therefore is to provide a forum for discussion of all aspects of stress and health which affect the individual.
The focus of the journal is on human stress and health, although animal research which has direct implications for human stress and health may be considered for publication in Stress and Health.
