Cardiovascular Toxicology is the first journal dedicated to publishing contemporary issues, timely reviews, and experimental and clinical data on the molecular therapy of cardiovascular disease. The journal publishes papers that elucidate the effects of environmental toxicants, molecular mechanisms and signal pathways. Also covered are the detrimental effects of new cardiovascular drugs, including non-cardiovascular drugs, anti-cancer chemotherapy, and gene therapy. In addition, Cardiovascular Toxicology reports safety and toxicological data on new cardiovascular and non-cardiovascular drugs--a unique journal in which these data can be scrutinized separately from efficacy.

Cardiovascular Toxicology publishes manuscripts that describe molecular mechanisms and signal pathways of cardiovascular toxicity, cardiovascular effects of environmental toxicants and pollutants, new methods for the measurement of, and novel approaches to, cardiovascular toxicity, safety data of detrimental effects of new cardiovascular drugs and gene therapy, and the cardiovascular toxicity of non-cardiovascular drugs and therapies.
