Nursing Standard publishes original research and clinical articles relevant to the practice of nursing. It also publishes a comprehensive news section and a range of opinion pieces on topical issues. The feature section regularly spotlights good practice and practice developments in nursing. Nursing Standard offers nurses the chance to study at home through its unique continuing education program run in association with the Royal College of Nursing Institute. Each week the journal carries a continuing education article with assessment and answer sheet. Every month Nursing Standard publishes the written component to RCN Nursing Update, the multimedia continuing education program broadcast on BBC 2.
