The "Journal of Digestive Diseases," formerly the "Chinese Journal of Digestive Diseases," was relaunched in February 2007, distinguishing itself as a dedicated global forum for research in all fields of gastroenterology, hepatology and endoscopy.

The "Journal of Digestive Diseases" publishes peer-reviewed original papers, review articles and commentaries concerned with research relating to the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, liver, biliary tract and pancreas.
