To fulfill its mission of prompting new thinking about established or emerging pathologic materials, techniques, and practices,the " International Journal of Surgical Pathology" features innovative and provocative hypotheses, which broaden the boundaries of pathologic knowledge and inspire further research. "International Journal of Surgical Pathology" covers anatomic and clinical pathology, as well as surgical pathology. The journal features hypothesis-driven clinicopathologic studies, molecular techniques in surgical pathology, and morphology of unusual tumors and diseases. In addition to original, peer-reviewed articles, including pathologic studies of clinical and practical significance, the "International Journal of Surgical Pathology" publishes case reports that have applications to common problems.
