Subscribing to etocs

OvidSP's eTOC feature sends an email alert whenever the table of contents for a journal is updated. You may sign up to receive an eTOC alert for any journal in the eTOC Subscriptions list whether your site subscribes to the journal or not.

Click the My eTOCS link under the My Workspace tab to access Ovid eTOC functions.

OvidSP opens a login page for eTOC Subscription Management.

Type a valid email address and click the Enter button. OvidSP displays the eTOC Subscription Management page.

You may set up eTOC subscriptions for more than one email account.

Here, you may find:


 Active email address for the eTOC subscription.


Active eTOC subscriptions (blank if you have not selected any journals).

Additional available eTOC subscriptions.

Adding Journals to a Subscription List

Adding journals to your subscription list from the eTOC Management Page:

1. Select journals to add to your active subscriptions list.

For multiple selections, click the item(s) while holding down the <Ctrl> key.

2. Click the Add Text button (to receive text-only email) or Add HTML (to receive HTML-formatted email) to move selected journals to your list.

3. Click the Update button.

OvidSP adds the journals to your Active eTOC Subscriptions and displays an update message with a list of journals subscribed at the top of the page.

Click the Close button at the top of the eTOC Management Page to return to your OvidSP session.

Editing a Subscription List

To edit your eTOC subscription list, click on the My eTOCS link under the My Workspace tab to access Ovid eTOC functions. OvidSP displays the eTOC Login page. Type the email address of the account you want to edit and click the Enter button.

OvidSP opens the eTOC Subscriptions Management Page. From here:

When you are done with the changes you want, click the Update button. OvidSP displays a confirmation message above your active email address.

Click the Close button at the top of the eTOC Management Page to return to your OvidSP session.
