Journals A-Z
OvidSP allows you to browse through all the available journals in Journals@Ovid. Click on the Journals tab from the Main Search page to begin. |

OvidSP opens the Journals A-Z list:

Search Bar |
Enter the title of the journal you wish to locate. The search bar automatically populates the name or title of the journal as you type. To find a specific citation, click the Find Citation link. | |
| Filter by Availability | Provides the option of browsing all journals, only journals that your institution subscribes to or Pay per View enabled journals. Users can also filter to specific publisher packages, e.g. LWW Journals@Ovid. | |
| Filter by Title | View journals alphabetically by title by selecting the first letter of a journal title. For additional details, click here. | |
| Filter by Subject | Lists all available journals by subject category. For more details, click here. |

| My Favorite Journals | Add frequently visited journals to your favorites list to allow quick and easy navigation. | |
| Journal View Options | Select Title View to view a condensed list of journals, or select Full View to see expanded functionality. | |
| Display Limit | Set the number of journals you wish to display per page. | |
| Journal List Content | Alphabetically lists available journals, depending on the view options you have selected. |
Customizable navigational tools are available as "widgets" located on the left side of your Journals display page. They may be opened, closed, or rearranged according to your preferences. |

beside the title of the widget to collapse or the
to expand the widget - Click and drag the widget header vertically to move it to the desired location.

Two options are available for viewing the Journal A-Z list of journal titles.
- Title View – displays the Journal Title to quickly scan the A-Z list.
- Full View – displays additional information about the journal (e.g. ISSN, number of issues, coverage years).
Title View displays only the journal title, along with an About this Journal link and the icon to allow you to add the selected journal to your Favorites. Click About this Journal to get a Full Text description of the selected journal that includes additional useful information and helpful links such as journal description, usage statement, author guidelines and instructions for authors. |

| Full View displays the complete title, as well as the year of available issues, the total number of issues available and its ISSN. In addition, the following task icons are also available. | |

The Filter by Availability widget shows the available resources you can browse, such as: |

Provides citation access to all journals available in OvidSP. | |
|
Provides access only to journals to which you are subscribed. | |
|
Allows you to view all Pay-Per-View enabled articles. This option is only visible if you have PayPerView enabled. | |
By default, OvidSP displays journal titles alphabetically.
Start here if you know the name of the journal you want or if you wish to browse through the alphabetical list of titles by letter. |

When a letter is selected, an additional subset is available to further refine the selection. |

Available subsets are clickable. Once a subset is clicked, a list of journals beginning with the two letters is displayed. For example, if Ci-Cp is selected, OvidSP will display journals with titles beginning with "Ci" through "Cp". See below. |

All Journal subjects are listed and displayed in the Filter by Subject widget. All sub-specialties within a particular subject can be displayed by clicking the + symbol of the selected subject. For example, the image on the right shows the sub-specialties within the Health Professions subject.

| When a specific subject or sub-specialty is clicked, all the journals pertaining to that subject or sub-specialty are displayed. In the example below, clicking "Chiropractic" displays the two (2) available journals in that subject. | ||

The My Favorites widget lets you identify frequently accessed journals as favorites. Selecting a journal as a Favorite enables you to directly go to the journal the next time you log in or open your Journals A-Z session. If there are no added journals in your My Favorite Journals, your widget appears as in the image on the right. |

To add a journal to the My Favorites widget, locate the title of the journal you want to add from the A-Z list and click the To remove a journal from the My Favorites widget, simply click the |

| The My Favorites widget is only available for non-shared user accounts and PIN-enabled accounts. Speak to your administrator on how to configure accounts. | |

To subscribe to the feed and have OvidSP notify you when the Table of Contents for a journal is updated, click the subscription button. Click here for more information on RSS feeds. |

Look for Publish Ahead of Print RSS Feed links and OvidSP notifies you when Publish Ahead of Print Full Text is available for a journal. |
To find a specific citation:

| OvidSP will navigate you to the Main Search page. |
| Fill in the form with all the applicable fields you can supply and click the Search button. |
| OvidSP will post the results to your search history |

| Find Citation is available in all OvidSP databases except Books@Ovid. |
| OvidSP's Find Citation automatically truncates entries in the journal and author fields by default. Contact your site administrator to change the default. |
