OvidSP opens the Books@Ovid Full Text Display.
- If you access book full text from browse books mode, OvidSP opens the display at the book's front matter.
- If you access book full text from search books mode (i.e., from a book record and its Ovid Full Text link), OvidSP opens the display at the point in the book that pertains to the record and its search terms.
Click a link in the book's table of contents, and OvidSP displays the Full Text of that section.

OvidSP displays update indicators:

| When OvidSP displays this icon within the title display, click it, and a publisher page opens from which you can purchase a print copy of the book. |
| OvidSP Session Options | Navigate to other parts of your OvidSP session. To browse books, click the Browse Books link. To search books, click the Main Search Page link. | |

OvidSP provides a search box with which you can run a basic search through book full text. Follow these steps to use it.

| OPTIONAL: Select the Check Spelling box. | ||
| Click the Current Book or All Books button. |
- Current book: runs the search in the book you are viewing.
- All books: runs the search in all books of your site's subscription.
OvidSP displays result records in the Search Results Display.

If you ran the search in the current book, OvidSP finds only those records. If you run a search in all books, OvidSP finds records from all books in your site's subscription. Click the Ovid Full Text link to return to book Full Text display.

OvidSP displays Full Text that corresponds to selections you make from the table of contents. Click a TOC link, and OvidSP refreshes the text in the display.

Click the Back link to navigate between TOC selections and full text display.
Books@Ovid Full Text also provides these functionalities when available.

Links in Book Full Text
OvidSP provides reference links so related resources that can expand your understanding of a topic. Reference links can be names or numbers that take you directly to a chapter's reference section at the bottom of the display.

In books with larger chapters, reference sections display in a separate window.
Up arrows return you to your place in the full text.
Reference sections can link to Ovid Full Text which opens into the books full text to which your site subscribes.
Book reference links can provide you with these resources, as well.
Launches an Adobe Acrobat PDF file in a separate window. |
Opens a window into the target publisher's website where access to the full text of the record resides. |
Launches a video file in a separate window. |
Links to your site's Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) of on-site holdings. |
Links to a page where you can order the title through an on-site document delivery service or online vendor. |
Links to bibliographic resources related to the record. |
Links to an internet resources page where you can find external, online sources related to the record. |
Opens a window for external resource information related to the record. |
Site administrators and external publishing providers control the availability of content from non-OvidSP sources. If an external site is not available, contact your site administrator.

| OvidSP's book full text displays figures, graphics, and tables as thumbnail images along with caption text provided by the author.
From this view, details of graphical elements are too small to see. Click the View Figure link to view a full-sized image.

Reference links within the enhanced graphic display are live. Click them, and Ovid takes you to the referenced location within the full text display.
Some tables do not display as images, but rather as integrated and searchable text within the chapter or section of the book.
You can print any image from a book in one of two ways.
- From within the full text: click the Print Preview button at the top of the display and print images within the book's full text.
- From the enhanced image view: activate your browser's print function.
OvidSP provides you with these output options.

| Select a file format from the menu. | |
| OPTIONAL: For ASCII text format options only, wrap longer lines by selecting the Wrap long lines box. | |

OvidSP downloads the book content to the location indicated. Click the Previous Page icon to return to the display.
OvidSP lets you:
- Print book chapters, or
- Print sections within a chapter.

Printed content includes:
- Full text with integrated images,
- Removal of Ovid interface elements, and
- An abbreviated book copyright statement.
