Reset a Personal Account Password

If you forgot your password to your personal account, you may reset it from the Forgotten Personal Account Password Page. You may access this page through:

Click the reset password link, and OvidSP opens the Forgotten Personal Account Password Page.

Type the account name OR email address, and click the Reset Password button.  Type either the account name or the email address. Supplying both information gives you an error result.

OvidSP generates a new password, sends it to the personal account email address, and returns to the Personal Account Administration Page with a confirmation message. From there, click the Main Search Page link to return to your OvidSP session. Retrieve your new password from your email. Click the Personal Account link again, and use the new information to access your personal account. You may change the password from the Modify Personal Account Page at any time.

 OvidSP clears any password cookie from your computer when you submit a reset password request.

When you submit a reset password request with email address information, OvidSP resets passwords for all personal accounts associated with that email address.
