The AI field indicates if the record contains an abstract. A "y" in this field identifies a record that includes an abstract.

It is useful to combine a search in the AI field with a search in another field. For example, to find technical reports that include abstracts, conduct the following search:

(technical-reports in dt) and (ai=y). Use parentheses to group long search statements to ensure SPIRS interprets them correctly.

Note: This field is available in data added to the database from 1976 onward.
