Message Fields

These fields are all non-searchable and serve to punctuate the data in records as in the original printed version of DOSE. They begin with a blank line followed by text indicating what data appears in the fields directly beneath it. This text or heading is surrounded by hyphens. They only appear if at least one field in the analogous superfields exists.

The message fields in DOSE are Substance Identifiers and Basic Chemistry (ID), Physical Properties (CPP), Occupational Exposure (OE), Ecotoxicity (ET), Environmental Fate (ENEX), Mammalian and Avian Toxicity (TOXB), Genotoxicity and Other Adverse Effects (GEAE) and Legislation and Other Information (LEIN).
