The DT field contains one or more three-digit document type codes and their corresponding textual equivalents, which classify the format of the original document. You can search for any word or phrase of the textual document type description in this field, however, you must use the Document Type Code (DTC) field to search for the numeric document type code. See the Document Types List to view the possible three-digit codes and text equivalents.

You can also select document types from the Document Type Field-Specific Index or select three-digit document type codes from the Document Type Code Field-Specific Index.
