dextrin's in pn The PN field contains the textual name of the chemical substance cited in the original document. Each substance listed corresponds to a CAS Registry Number, listed in the CAS Registry Number (CAS) field.
Use the Name of Substance (NM) field to search for chemical and enzyme names simultaneously.
Note: This field contains chemical names only. Enzyme names, which correspond to EC (Enzyme Commission) Numbers, are listed in the Enzyme Name (EN) field.
Browsing Substance Names As an alternative to searching with the field label, you can browse substance names and search for them directly from the Prime Name of Substance Field-Specific Index. This field-specific index contains only substance names available in the database. Results of a search in this index display in the PN field.
Searching for Enzyme and Chemical Substance Names You can search for the names of enzymes and chemical substances simultaneously using a special pseudo field. The Name of Substance (NM) field enables you to search in the PN and Enzyme Names (EN) fields simultaneously. Search results display in the respective fields.
