The DOI field contains a unique code, which identifies a specific Web file or Internet document. The Digital Object Identifier is a system for digital media and has been designed to provide persistent and reliable identification of digital objects. This field is for display only; you cannot search in this field. You can use the URLs, Etc. (XURL) field to narrow your search to only those records that contain a DOI. For example, the search doi in xurl limits a search to only records containing a DOI.
