The KC field contains terms that describe the content of the document. Descriptive terms are free text and not part of a controlled vocabulary. The KC field includes authors' terminology that is not represented by the DE field. The KC field may be thought of as an "enhanced title."

You can use the Subject (SU) to search in the Key Concepts, Major Descriptors (MJ), and Minor Descriptors (MN) fields simultaneously.
