The SF field indicates any items accompanying the document, such as study guide, an assessment instrument, references, and more. Use this field to limit your search to only records of documents containing a specific feature, such as "assessment instrument." Most records prior to 1967 do not contain this field. You can search using the field label (SF) or from the Special Feature Index described below. Hyphenate multiword feature types when searching with the field label.

Browsing Special Features

As an alternative to searching with the field label, you can browse feature types and search for them directly from the Special Feature Field-Specific Index. This field-specific index contains only features drawn from the SF field, therefore, your search will always yield results. Search results display in the SF field.
