2007 British Nursing Index Reload News

The British Nursing Index database has been reloaded. The database has been reloaded with a new thesaurus for 2007. The new thesaurus includes the following changes.

1 New Heading

Heading   Information
Social Enterprise   The organisation and administration of a service or part of a service as a not-for-profit business with social objectives, usually based in primary care or social care. It is often characterised by reinvestment of profits into the community and by stakeholder participation. This heading is used for Social entrepreneurship and Social marketing. It falls under the broader term Health Service Management, and is related to the terms Contracts and Marketing and Health Service Finance.
     

4 Amendments to Cross References

Contracts and Marketing   This term has a new related term, Social Enterprise.
Health Service Finance   This term has a new related term, Social Enterprise.
