2 New Fields |
||
| Label | Field Name | What's New |
| AR | Article Number | The Article Number field (AR) is a specific identifier, which may be
used to cite/link to/search for electronic and paper documents. It is
not the DOI/PII or Report Number. Usually, the article number is used
in place of page numbers for electronic documents; they can also be used
for printed journals. The article number field consists of an alphanumeric
character string that is assigned to a document by the publisher. The
article number will never change. It is a medium for citing/linking to/searching
for articles when these do not contain the complete bibliographic information,
or it is simply additional information. Th AR field usually displays as
part of the Source (SO) field. |
| EI | Electronic ISSN | The Electronic ISSN (EI) field contains the Electronic International
Standard Serial Number (EISSN) for the journal in which an article was
published. It appears as an 8-digit number, separated by a hyphen: 0028-4793.
The field will be populated with data in July 2005. |
