Local Holdings

Local Holdings allows users to identify the Ovid databases and individual journals that are held locally in their library's collection. These journals are marked with a local holdings message, customized by a system administrator, which appears whenever citations to those journals are printed or displayed. Online Local Holdings allows your users to limit a search to journals that have been defined as locally held, or to read local messages that you assign to your site's locally held journals. Users can also choose to Limit to Local Holdings when they execute a search. In that case, their search retrieves only citations from journals that are designated as locally held.
