PubMed LinkOut PubMed LinkOut provides MEDLINE database users with the ability to link to Ovid full text. PubMed is an online search system for the National Library of Medicine's (NLM) MEDLINE database. The site links users from PubMed complete references to the corresponding full text article in Ovid's Journals@Ovid database. Coverage includes MEDLINE and PreMedline articles. Access is based on customers' licenses and journal subscriptions. Alternatively, non-subscribers can purchase full text articles by using the Pay Per View facility. Ovid's participation in PubMed LinkOut simply provides customers the convenience of linking from PubMed to Ovid combined with all the features and benefits of Journals@Ovid. Convenience Ovid customers can conveniently link from PubMed complete references to the desired full text article in Journals@Ovid. Access to full text Ovid customers can use PubMed without giving up access to the full text they subscribe to through Ovid. Simple searching Less experienced users who are more comfortable using PubMed's simpler search functionality can link directly to the full text display. Ovid functionality Users linking to Ovid full text can access a fully functional Ovid gateway session, enabling them to further search Journals@Ovid and other Ovid databases. Access for all PubMed Users who do not currently subscribe to Journals@Ovid can still access the full text record they need using the PayPerView credit card payment facility.
