Concussion to Consequence: Managing Sport-Related Concussion On & Off the Field
Since the origin of the human species, we have certainly been hitting our heads hard enough to disrupt the functioning of the brain; however, recent historical circumstances, increased public awareness and scientific advances have served to thrust concussion into the spotlight of modern day health concerns.  This webcast will address what is known—and what is not known—about managing concussion as an acute event, particularly in the context of sports, and as a marker within a person's lifetime history of effects on brain functioning.

Join Margot Putukian, MD, FACSM, Director of Athletic Medicine at Princeton University, Past President of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, and member of the NFL's Head, Neck & Spine Committee and John D. Corrigan, PhD, Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Ohio State University and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Head Trauma Rehabilitation for an informative 60-minute session featuring leading experts discussing the latest developments in the field.
