Nursing@Ovid enhancements scheduled to go live March 31st 10am EDT

Dear Nursing@Ovid Customer:

You probably already know about the upcoming release of OvidSP, which is scheduled to go live Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 10:00 am Eastern Daylight Time (14:00 GMT; click here for a World Time Zone converter to check the time for your local area). As you know, Nursing@Ovid is based on the architecture and functionality of OvidSP. The following OvidSP enhancements will also take affect in the Nursing@Ovid interface (If you or one of your users is in a Nursing@Ovid session at that time, your session will continue uninterrupted until you log out or your session times out):  

1. Customizable Search Fields
2. New Limit to Star Ranking
3. Enhanced Limit to Publication Year
4. Quarterly AutoAlerts
5. Improved highlighting in search results
6. Ovid Universal Search tab names can be user specified
7. Links to PDFs of full-text articles—when available—in citations
8. Links to full text or the citation are now included when you export a citation to your citation manager or email to colleagues
9. Link text for the Knowledge Base in upper-right corner now reads Support & Training for additional clarification

If you’re also a Clin-eguide customer, you’ll be pleased to discover a new direct link into the Clin-eguide interface from OvidSP’s main search panel.

You’ll notice that the Nursing@Ovid Resource Center is now part of a larger Ovid Resource Center, an easy-to-navigate centralized destination that also includes product and training news on OvidSP; tips on using Nursing@Ovid and OvidSP, as well as other important information from our Customer Support and Training departments; and a new Librarian Toolkit section featuring customizable materials to help you promote Ovid resources to your users. We’ll continue to update the Ovid Resource Center with new material—bookmark for you convenience!
