New Results Management Features and Functionality

Dear Ovid Customer:

Last week we announced enhancements to the OvidSP and Nursing@Ovid platforms that are scheduled for first quarter. In the weeks ahead we’ll be introducing the enhancements in greater detail. See below for more information on upcoming new Results Management features and functionality.

• Removal of the Results Manager –actions previously listed in the Results Manager will be accessible above your search results list, saving you valuable screen real estate
• New results display features -  view results by title, complete citation, or full abstract
• Introducing Results Tools
• Filters – display results by star ranking, year, subject, author, and other criteria; apply all filters to create a new search strategy
• Search Information – includes search terms, number of results, possible misspellings, and results sorting options
• “Widget” functionality, first introduced with the November Browse Journals release, allows you to move and collapse Tools
• New citation management options
• Select a style—Ovid, Chicago, MLA, and more—for exporting or printing
• Email links to full text, Search History, and Annotations; plus, a new option to send as attachment
• More exporting choices, including format of the citation and tagged text, as well as options to include full-text links, Search History, and Annotations

Supporting Materials Coming Soon
Watch the OvidSP Resource Center in the coming weeks for preview screenshots, tools to help you promote the enhancements to users at your institution, training materials, and more. And remember – you’ll have plenty of time to try out the enhancements while maintaining access to your current implementation.
