Integrating My Workspace, the Ovid Toolbar,
Plus Ovid Universal Search™ into the Way You Work
Dear Ovid Customer:
Soon you and your users will be able to set up folders to manage research projects within OvidSP—and add information to these research folders from outside the OvidSP environment.
All this and more will be possible with the upcoming OvidSP release, which will unveil new researcher workflow tools like My Workspace and the Ovid toolbar. Plus, all these features will be available in Nursing@Ovid.
So how can you and your users take advantage of these features to have a faster, more efficient online research experience?
Create a Research Project in My Projects
- Chances are you perform searches for your users. You can set up multiple projects and save citations, images, and articles that you’ve retrieved for each user into a specific project. You can even configure AutoAlerts to save results into projects and folders.
- Faculty, postdoctoral candidates, students, and others finalizing a paper for submission can set up a project for their paper, with folders within that project containing research findings related to specific chapters, sections, or other elements.
- Product managers in drug discovery can keep up track of multiple drugs in development, organizing data specific to each drug—that they’ve downloaded from Ovid or from their own computer—into separate projects.
Add Important Internet Links Using the Ovid Toolbar
After installing the toolbar in your browser, whenever you uncover links to search results and documents you find from search engines or other websites you can save those links directly into a specific project or project folder.
Add Ovid Universal Search Results
With our cross-platform search solution, Ovid Universal Search, you can easily save results you retrieve from other search platforms into your research project within OvidSP or Nursing@Ovid.
