Dear Ovid Customer:
Ovid Universal Search Lets You Conduct ALL of Your Searching
Within OvidSP—No Matter Where the Content Resides
Screenshots Available Now
We are pleased to announce that the upcoming release of Ovid Universal Search has been scheduled for Monday, November 16th at 10:00 am Eastern Time (15:00 GMT). If you or one of your users is in an Ovid Universal Search session in either OvidSP or Nursing@Ovid at that time, your session will continue uninterrupted until you log out or your session times out.
With Ovid Universal Search, our first-to-market cross-platform solution, you can stay within OvidSP to conduct ALL of your searching and results management – no matter where the content resides. And now, we’re delivering even better navigation and more customization to deliver a more efficient and effective search and discovery experience for users, so they can save time searching and spend more time analyzing results within OvidSP!
The following enhancements will be included as part of the release:
- De-duplication of non-Ovid Universal Search results - View or hide duplicate records. Easily identify duplicates to view your research trail.
- View all non-Ovid Universal Search results in one set - Consolidate results in just one tab; or switch your view to see multiple tabs for individual sources.
- Full-text linking capabilities for Universal Search results - When sufficient metadata is retrieved by Ovid Universal Search.
- Search Aid functionality for Universal Search results - View search terms, the total number of results retrieved, and more. Filter results by a specific source, or by specific resources retrieved from a single source.
- Universal Search citation display - Records will include all available citation information, including title, author, publication, and other critical data.
- Request to retrieve more Universal Search results – Get additional results after the initial set has already been retrieved.
