Early Intervention (EI) is an attempt to help children at risk of developing cognitive, emotional, social or behavioral problems because of biological factors, such as low birth weight, or environmental factors, such as poverty. This reader covers current theory, research, and practice in EI, bringing together the best recent papers by prominent researchers in the field.
