Fredda Vladeck, MSSW, is director of the United Hospital Fund's Aging In Place Initiative, which focuses on advancing new service delivery models that address the critical issues presented by the growing number of people who are aging in place in their communities. She was the founding director of the first comprehensive NORC Supportive Service Program at Penn South (1986), and worked with others to translate and replicate this innovative model at the city and state levels. As a certified social worker for 25 years, Ms. Vladeck has been a longtime advocate for seniors and vulnerable populations.
