Abstract:

At present, there are three major methods of cell transplantation in treatment of liver cirrhosis, including liver cell transplantation, liver stem cell transplantation and bone marrow stem cell transplantation. The main problems in the first two methods are that it is difficult to find cell resource and make them live or proliferate. But bone marrow stem cell transplantation has a convenient source, which is not limited by donor packing and can avoid immune rejection. Thus, bone marrow stem cell transplantation can be used for treating many kinds of liver diseases such as toxic, inflammatory, chronic injury liver diseases, early and middle liver cirrhosis, refractory hypoproteinemia, refractory ascites, recurrent attacks jaundice. Internal and external study and clinical application demonstrated that autologous stem cell transplantation in treatment of liver cirrhosis has obtain a good outcome and deserves to be widely used. In a word, it has three superiorities, significant outcome, cheap cost, and low risk.
