Abstract:

To appraise effect of the home-made recombinant human granulocyte colony stimulating factor (rhG-CSF) in the mobilization peripheral blood stem cells. From 2001 to 2005, 20 patients undergoing autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplantation were enrolled, 11 males, 9 females, 11 patients with acute myelocytic leukemia, 5 patients with acute lymphocyte leukemia, 3 patients with malignant lymphoma, and 1 patient with multiple myeloma. According to the bearing capacity of medicine price, patients were divided into 2 groups: a home -made rhG-CSF group and an imported rhG-CSF group, 10 patients for each group. Large dose of Ara-c was used for mobilization in patients with acute myelocytic leukemia, but large dose of Cyclophosphamide was used in other patients. When the white blood cell dropped to the trough, and started to raise again, the home-made and imported rhG-CSF were added. Peripheral blood stem cells were collected when number of white blood cells increased to above 5×109/L. The transplantation was successful in all patients. There were no significant differences in dose of drug, duration of medication, quality of stem cell collection, hematopoietic function reconstruction and poisonous side effects of medicine.
