Abstract:
Tension-free hernioptasty using artificial materials has become a major way to repair inguinal hernia and other hernias. Research has indicated that tension-free hernioptasty characterizes by light painfulness, rapid recovery, less complications, and low relapse rate. Artificial materials mainly point to polypropylene, characterizing by great softness, tensile strength, anti-infection, and histocompatibility. Application of Shanbu pian provides an ideal way for tension-free hernioptasty in clinic; especially, it has great effect on senile hernia (complicated with heart, lung and urologic diseases), severe hernia, complex hernia, and relapse hernia. Surgical ways and types of Shanbu pian are different for various syndromes of hernia.
