Major clinical trial findings presented at the 47th Annual Scientific Sessions of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) are reviewed in this article. This meeting was held March 29-April 1, 1998 in Atlanta, GA.

Updates on abciximab, rt-PA, enoxaparin, carvedilol and RPR 109891 from myocardial infarction trials are reviewed. In addition, recent clinical findings with irbesartan for hypertension, lovastatin, simvastatin and a new sitostanol ester margarine for hyperlipidemia, enoxaparin for unstable angina, and carvedilol, candasartan and lisinopril for congestive heart failure are discussed.
