Dreams of martyrdom experienced by alleged Muslim martyrs, their families, and friends are considered highly significant within Muslim societies. They are frequently understood as God-given veridical dreams that can show the true status of the martyr and predict the future. The author examined the narratives of these dreams in both early Islamic and contemporary sources and explored the roles that they have played, whether ongoing and constant or changing in response to new conditions.
