Are there times when you feel that you may have washed up in a quaint backwater, and the mega-minds that are our medical educators are sailing by, leaving us behind? I know I have. Well, there is a lot in this current crop that should reassure you. In California they have learned a new way of teaching palliative care (it’s not innovative at all) and the Dutch are enthusing about our (very) old friend the SWOT analysis. The Canadians are trawling the early basic concepts of communication skills.
Go on, pat yourselves on the back; you aren’t such dinosaurs after all.
