COMPARING THE COST OF NURSE PRACTITIONERS AND GPS IN PRIMARY CARE: MODELLING ECONOMIC DATA FROM RANDOMISED TRIALS
- Faux, Dominic
Education for Primary Care 17(6):p 646, 2006.
There is some encouragement and some discouragement in this selection. We will be externally assessed, and that will happen. However, we appear to have a good and strong primary healthcare system. I do hope, dear reader, that you are not getting too anxious about the future. People will always need ‘their’ doctor, rather than ‘the’ doctor and nurse practitioners aren’t cheaper. No matter how much we are interfered with, nobody has come up with a fairer and cheaper system of healthcare than the dear old NHS.
