The changes being wrought by Modernising Medical Careers are hardly reflected in the journals. The inevitable havoc that will ensue can therefore be studied in detail by those of us who still have a career in medical education. It feels a little bit like the dog that didn’t bark in the night. There is a pretty poor crop of papers this time round, unless it is cynicism and senility kicking in in equal measures.
