DIFFERENT FROM WHAT THE TEXTBOOKS SAY: HOW GPS DIAGNOSE CORONARY HEART DISEASE
- Faux, Dominic
Education for Primary Care 19(3):p 346, 2008.
An excellent selection of articles in the Clinical Teacher, including an educational critique of Modernising Medical Careers that puts into words a creeping anxiety I have had for some time about the process. We’ll have to see what the Tooke Report brings us in medical educational terms. We need to think, as a society, whether we want quantity of clinicians or quality: government wants the former, and the profession wants the latter. The patients can generally recognise quality (or lack of it), and in the end it is they who will assess who is right.
