“TEACHING AS A COMPETENCY”: COMPETENCIES FOR MEDICAL EDUCATORS
- Faux, Dominic
Education for Primary Care 23(1):p 71, 2012.
Journal Watch is an eclectic mix of a trawl through around 40 journals that I read. Some of them I read more assiduously, others less so. The language of scientific discourse remains turgid and occasionally impenetrable. There is a lot of second-rate guff that is still published, and I try to avoid.
The Green Journal is an educational journal based in primary care, and this is the general focus on the reviews. Not exclusively, however, as I would be bored witless by merely focusing on that.
I like the ‘Twelve tips on clinical reasoning’ – a useful educational resource that I will adapt and use.
Each article is graded from 1–5
IMPORTANCE: ★ (very marginal) to ★★★★★ (essential reading)
EASE OF READING: ☻ (impenetrable) to ☻☻☻☻☻ (very clear)
