GENERATIONAL CHANGES AND THEIR IMPACT IN THE CLASSROOM: TEACHING GENERATION ME
- Faux, Dominic
Education for Primary Care 20(4):p 328, 2009.
There is something of a feeling of fin-de-siècle in political terms in the UK at the moment, and this is reflected in some of the articles in this pick of the best-of and most interesting articles in my idiosyncratic and partial review of the journals.
I was particularly interested in the observations of the American psychologist Jean Twenge about the behavioural characteristics of ‘Generation Me’. I’m part of ‘Generation Them’ – the baby-boomers who are making such a pig’s ear of things at the moment: at least I feel no collective guilt.
Each article is graded from 1–5
IMPORTANCE: ★ (very marginal) to ★★★★★ (essential reading)
EASE OF READING: ☻ (impenetrable) to ☻☻☻☻☻ (very clear)
