Marsha J. Handel, MLS,is Director, Informatics and Online Education, Department of Integrative Medicine, Beth Israel Medical Center, NY. An experienced medical librarian, Ms. Handel has focused on the creation of online health education programs in integrative medicine. She has developed seven grant-funded projects, the latest being a 2.5-year National Library of Medicine, NIH grant on integrative approaches to chronic disease. She developed the Continuum Center for Health and Healing's 800+ page, evidence-based Website covering selective high-quality resources and research in the field.
