Novel compounds in development from natural products

The plant kingdom is a largely untapped source of novel compounds with therapeutic activity or potential for further investigation as lead molecules. Data presented at the 55th World Congress of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences [Stockholm, Sweden; August 1995] focused on several natural products in early development, including compounds with anti-inflammatory, anti-HIV and anticancer activityin vitro.
