Angiogenesis inhibitors: a weapon in the treatment of solid tumours
- Lee, Rhoda

Making tumours dormant by inhibition of vascularisation (angiogenesis*) is an interesting strategy in anticancer therapy. Various angiogenesis inhibitors are in the preclinical stages of development, and one has undergone a phase II trial in patients with Kaposi's sarcoma with promising results. Findings from this and other studies were reported at the 5th International Conference on Anticancer Chemotherapy [Paris, France; Feb 1995].
