Genetic intervention with E2F Decoy therapy significantly reduces graft failure following coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery. Findings from the first randomised, controlled study of a transcription factor decoy in human coronary artery grafts to prevent intimal hyperplasia and subsequent atherosclerosis were presented at the Scientific Sessions of the American Heart Association [Anaheim, US; November 2001].
