Editor's Note: The following article is a poignant reminder of the painful and difficult experiences that are a regular part of the lives of persons with anxiety disorders. We may not always have access to persons with the ability to articulate so clearly just what life in the anxiety chamber is like. This author helps us to focus on the human aspect of the problem and to witness the daily ordeal which is routine for patients diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder. His eloquence brings us closer to understanding his struggle and the struggles of others with similar problems. We are grateful for his voice and his willingness to share his thoughts with us.
