Role of the Legal Nurse Consultant in Litigation

Patricia Bowman, R.N., B.S.N.,has been an independent Legal Nurse Consultant for six years. She received her B.S.N. with a minor in psychology from the University of Bridgeport. Through 14 years of experience in hospitals across the country and overseas she amassed clinical expertise in the medical/surgical, psychiatric, and neurological areas. Since 1992 Ms. Bowman has operated her own consulting business, RN Medical Resource Services. In her practice she works with attorneys on medical malpractice, personal injury, and product liability cases, assisting in all phases of litigation preparation leading up to trial. Ms. Bowman is a member of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants and current president of the Greater Baltimore Chapter AALNC.
