Enhancing Therapeutic Jurisprudence for Victims of Institutional Abuse

Olena Hankivsky, PhD,is an adjunct professor in the departments of political science and women's studies at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia. She also is a research associate at the British Columbia Centre of Excellence for Women's Health. She currently is a co-investigator on a national project examining abuse survivors who have been compensated via group redress packages in the provinces of British Columbia, Ontario and New Brunswick. She has just completed a book entitledCaring and Social Policy,which examines the ethic of care in relation to a number of social policy issues in law, sport, health, and economics.
