Lesley Spencer EdD (Narrative & Life Story Research) ongoing, MSc, CQSW, Diploma in Counselling, BA (hon). Lesley Spencer has been a Senior Lecturer in Counselling with the University of Wales, Newport since 1994, where she trains counselling and clinical supervision students to Masters level. She has worked as a counsellor for 20 years, including 10 years in primary care. In 2000, she was part of the core team that developed the MSc in Genetic Counselling at the University of Cardiff and her responsibilities are for the counselling and communication skills aspects of the programme. Since 2004, she has been the clinical supervisor for the SE Wales Genetic Counselling Service and her research interests include counselling training, the psychosocial aspects of genetic counselling and narrative research.
