Jackie Bridges is a Registered Nurse and Health Visitor with a background of clinical practice, health services research, organisational and practice development and education; skills in the management of change and evaluation; and knowledge of current health and social care issues. Her education has included a first class Bachelor of Nursing honours degree (Manchester University, UK), a Master of Science in Nursing degree (University of British Columbia, Canada) and a PhD in Health Services Research (City University, UK). Current research interests include organisational and practice change, public sector policy and management, new roles, health care for older people, action research, qualitative inquiry.
