A bachelor's degree in nursing opens more avenues for job advancement and salary attainment. Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees awarded at 2-year schools should be embraced to improve community knowledge by increasing number of people with degrees, adding positive economic change to communities, and boosting numbers of bachelor-prepared nurses from more diverse backgrounds.
