About the Author

Susan Givens Bell has more than 25 years of neonatal nursing experience, including roles in management, transport, and education. She received her bachelor of science in nursing, master of science in child health nursing, and master of arts in bioethics and medical humanities degrees from the University of South Florida, Tampa. She is currently working as an advanced nursing education specialist in the NICU at All Children's Hospital, St. Petersburg, Florida, and is pursuing a doctorate in nursing practice with a focus on education at the University of South Florida, Tampa. Ms. Bell is a member of ANN, AWHONN, NNSDO, and Sigma Theta Tau, Delta Beta chapter-at-large.
