This randomised, comparative crossover study compared the performance of a new one-piece drainable ostomy bag (SenSura) with that of a well-established bag to identify whether problems related to the use of ostomy bags improved. Sixty-four people with an ileostomy tested each bag for a week. SenSura was preferred by 79% of the participants and was superior to the control bag with regard to the key performance parameters.
